Angie Hilts

Angie Hilts is a Toronto‑based singer, songwriter, and band leader whose music blends warmth, soul, and a finely honed indie folk sensibility. Over the past decade, Angie has built a rich career leading The Rucksack Willies, performing with The Double Cuts, and collaborating with artists locally and internationally.

Launching her solo career in 2017, Angie continues to emerge as a compelling independent Canadian artist and is currently writing her second full‑length album. Her 2018 music video “Shine” caught the attention of CBC Fresh Air, earning national airplay and opening the door to notable performance opportunities, including opening for Jill Barber in Prince Edward County.

A seasoned live performer, Angie has played venues across Ontario and maintains a monthly residency at Toronto’s Cameron House, where she and her band have developed a distinctive, heartfelt indie folk sound. Beyond the stage, Angie is also a respected vocal coach and educator with over 12 years of teaching experience. In 2023, she founded Pine Sound Studio, a music school dedicated to supporting musicians of all ages and stages.
